Handling All Aspects of Scaffolding in Sussex, Surrey & the South East | East Grinstead Scaffolding Ltd

Our team specialises in the provision of commercial scaffolding solutions, working with a diverse range of clients across an array of industries. Since our formation in 1993, our scaffolders have worked with property developers, maintenance firms, event organisers, transport providers, local councils, estate directors, civil engineers and contractors around Sussex, Surrey and the wider South East, helping facilitate safe and efficient work at height. We also welcome inquiries from prospective domestic clients, ensuring that even small residential development projects have access to proper scaffolding, installed by a veteran scaffolding company.

Scaffolding Design

Following an initial site survey and consultation, we’ll launch the design phase. This process sees us draw up detailed plans to a client’s precise specifications, taking into account the type of work that will be carried out, and any potential challenges posed by a site (e.g weak ground or overhead electrical wires). Structures we design for projects in and around the Sussex and Surrey areas range from traditional scaffolding, to shoring, temporary roofs, birdcage and hanging scaffolds.

Designs will incorporate essential safety features and extras that will make for efficient work at height. These include:

  • Hoist Runways
  • Chutes
  • Fall Arrest Netting

We will also build a profile which will incorporate timescales, structure planning, access issues, load-bearing assessments, angling modifications, dismantling procedures and health and safety considerations. Then we’ll issue a full quote, which we guarantee to be competitive. Once a schedule for the work has been agreed, we’ll draw up any requisite method statements before getting started.

Scaffolding Installation

Ensuring that designs are implemented flawlessly, our scaffolding erectors set about installing the structure, keeping a client’s unique situation in mind. For example, work may need to take place during very specific set hours, to prevent the work impacting everyday business operations. Our CITB trained and CRB checked scaffolders always use the right personal protective equipment (PPE), and observe a strict code of conduct that ensures a high standard of health and safety on site, and the effective management of any and all risks identified in our initial assessment.

Our scaffolding erectors are managed by expert supervisors who have intimate understandings of all relevant statutory and building regulations. They’ll ensure that work is carried out smoothly and efficiently, putting their project management skills to use.

Scaffolding Maintenance

A good scaffolding company doesn’t vanish once the structure is up, only to return at the end of the hire period: they provide on-going support to ensure scaffolding is well-maintained and remains safe to use. We recommend Surrey and Sussex clients have their domestic / commercial scaffolding inspected every 7 days, or after the following scenarios:

  • Exposure to adverse weather conditions
  • Alterations made to scaffolding or property its attached to
  • Suspected vandalism or trespass
  • An accident that causes damage to scaffolding poles or ties
